The parents of an 8-month-old Florida baby girl are now grieving, after the child died as a result of a pit bull attack at her grandmother’s home.
At the time, the child was sitting in a bouncy chair.
According to police, the child, Liana Valino was left in her grandmother’s care and was in a bedroom in the infant chair when the dog unexpectedly attacked her.
So vicious was the attack, that the child dies within minutes at the scene.
The lawmen further confirmed that the pit bull which is believed to be between 3 and 4 years old, was swiftly removed from the home along with two other dogs by the Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division.
However, only the pit bull was said to be involved in the attack.
It remains unclear as to whether the attacking pit bull will be euthanized.
The child’s grieving mother Brenda Villasin, who has since set up a GoFundMe page to cover the funeral expenses, was quoted by a WLPG news report, as saying that “She was the best thing to ever happen to me,”.
The mother still remains in shock at the unexpected and gruesome loss of her daughter.
